Leigh Anne King Joins Clarion’s Team of Directors

Since joining Clarion Associates as an associate in 2005, Leigh Anne King has been helping southeastern communities plan for a successful and sustainable future. Over the past 14 years, she has worked with more than 40 communities to develop comprehensive, long range, and strategic plans to guide future decision-making and public investments.

Leigh Anne is currently working with several North Carolina communities to address the pressures of development in high growth regions. She is also passionate about housing issues and has led development of several housing studies and plans. Leigh Anne currently serves as a co-chair of the APA-NC Affordable Housing Task Force, and has recently focused on helping communities assess and evaluate solutions for addressing workforce and affordable housing challenges.

Joining Clarion’s team of directors means that, in addition to leading the planning practice in the Chapel Hill office, she will be helping to guide the trajectory of the firm into the next decade. Leigh Anne’s clients and colleagues value her no-nonsense leadership and hands-on approach as a project manager and mentor. These traits also translate into her tireless dedication to her family (and all things planning)!
