2012 AIA Presidents Award

In April 2012, the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) Pennsylvania presented Deputy Mayor Alan Greenberger and Eva Gladstein, Deputy Director of the City Planning Commission and former Executive Director of the Zoning Code Commission, with the President’s Award on behalf of the Zoning Code Commission. The award was presented in recognition of the city’s work on its Zoning Code Update. Clarion Associates led a team of consultants on this effort to comprehensively rewrite and modernize Philadelphia’s zoning code for the first time in fifty years. The code was adopted in December 2011.
