2013 LSCOG Project of the Year
April 1, 2013
The Lower Savannah Council of Governments has named the Eastern Orangeburg County Sustainability Study as its Project of the Year for 2012. Clarion Associates led the study, which was conducted with funding in part through the CDBG program offered through the South Carolina Department of Commerce with staff assistance from the LSCOG. Anticipating development of the area bounded by Interstates 26 and 95 and U.S. 301 — an area dubbed the Global Logistics Triangle — Orangeburg County Council in 2011 embarked on the study to develop guidelines for balancing social, economic and environmental needs.
