Explainer: The Planning Cycle

Planning is a cycle that never stops as our communities change and grow. A community’s Comprehensive Plan is commonly updated every ten years to assess current conditions and determine what issues and opportunities the community wants to address in the future.

We developed the graphic explainer below to support conversations within a community about how the process works and why it’s important to get involved.
